Hello and welcome to the website of The Happy Artists – a positively gleeful collective of Brighton-based artists, namely photographer Tony Bowall FRPS, artist Helene Bowall... and not forgetting Sam, our dog.
Tony and Helene have taken part for the past seven years in the Brighton and Hove Artists' Open Houses festival by opening their home, the Happy House, to the public. After a year's break to look after the needs of Sam the Dog, we opened once more for Xmas 2011. We are not opening the Happy House this year but Tony is exhibiting at TWO Open House Venues for the Brighton Festival 2012. Tony Bowall is the photographer behind the famous Beach Huts in the Snow series of photographs, as well as many other instantly recognisable images of Brighton, iconic images of Santorini in the Greek Islands, and much, much more.
