Clients and Commissions

Each Album contains various examples of work in that field.
Here are some examples of Tony's work which he has done for musicians, performance artists, jewellers, sculptors, ceramicists, and two dimensional artists, mainly from Brighton and Hove. Initially working in macro/close-up photography of flowers his speciality in the studio is, naturally enough, three dimensional objects and very small things. To this end, Tony has attracted a number of jewellers, goldsmiths, and silversmiths as clients. He has perfected the art of photographing jewellery placed on highly reflective surfaces which often gives the impression of two pieces rather than just the one. No 'Photoshop' trickery has been used.
New clients are always welcomed and most of Tony's clients return regularly for images to be used for catalogues, websites, posters and other publicity.
He has more recently started work with one of his other loves - music and musicians - and more work from these connections will be gradually appearing here.
Tony is a professional photographer and has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society, which is the Society's Highest Distinction. Work has recently being shown at the London Salon of Photography and other International Exhibitions.
Following on from a brief meeting to clarify what is required, making suggestions if needed, he will photograph the person or their work, retouching and editing the resulting images if required.
He can come to your premises/studios or work on location. If working with artworks then, ideally, he will borrow your work for a short time to photograph in his studio under ideal conditions, in Hove, near Brighton on the Sussex Coast.
He is happy to photograph all types of artwork, including jewellery, sculpture, ceramics, drawings and paintings, and has all of the necessary professional equipment and lighting.
For an average session photographing, say, twenty different
three dimensional pieces the client will be provided with up to 300 images using a variety of backgrounds and/or arrangements
Clients will be provided with a CD/DVD of their images, free of any photographer’s copyright for most purposes, (which means the artists can use the images for web use, magazines and posters without applying for extra permissions as many photographers just specify usage for one purpose), as well as a DVD slideshow/ Audio-Visual presentation, and contact sheets of the works photographed. Prints - all produced in the studio to ensure consistency - can, of course, also be made to order using archival inks and papers in all sizes up to poster-sized A1 or even larger and canvases can be made of any size to order, as can duplicate DVDs/pdf slideshows for your own marketing.
Visual Artists that Tony has worked with include: Sussex artists: Sam Toft (illustration and puppetry!), Ruth Bridges, RokChix/Christine Morgan, Annie Ferguson, Campoli & Nelson and Sue Fenwick (Jewellery), Tessa Wolfe Murray and Karen Barron (Ceramics), Alain Guy and Deryk Parkin (Sculpture), John Beetham and Holly Caulfield (Drawings and Paintings), and others.
Musicians have included Edgar Broughton, Nik Turner of Inner City Unit and Hawkwind, Here and Now and the Legendary Wooden Lion.
His prices are competitive and very reasonable, bearing in mind the quality of service that is offered, and the time given exclusively to your project. Depending on the size of the job prices are always negotiable!
